Bahá'í School

Programs, Classes, Curriculum, and Events

The US Bahá'í National Teaching Committee determines a theme each year for Baha'i Schools across the United States. Each School then assembles a program and classes along this theme. Although attendees are primarily Bahá'í's, any and all are welcome to attend.

Adult Program Tracks

Each year there are several "tracks" for adult sessions. Each track focuses on a distinct aspect related to the School's yearly theme. Attendees can follow a particular track throughout the School if they would like, or they can pick and choose sessions to attend at their preference. Attendees are not required to follow a particular track. Tracks are organized as a convenience for attendees who would like to focus on a particular aspect of the yearly theme.

Children's Classes

Children's Classes are arranged by age group of the child. Classes are newly developed each year to fit the School's theme. All classes are taught and monitored by a minimum of two staff at all times. Parents are required to pick up their children from the classes before break and meal times begin.

Daycare

For those parents with very young children, daycare is provided during the adult sessions.

Events

Each year a number of events are scheduled to promote unity, friendship, bring people together, meet new friends, and just all around have fun! Each evening after the classes and programs for the day have concluded, a general evening event with music and entertainment is held. Over the years, Saturday night has also become the traditional "Kid's Skate Party Night" at the nearby roller skating rink. (The rink is rented for a private party with pizza, soda, and skates provided). Sunday afternoon after the final sessions conclude is the School Dinner for all to attend in the downstairs banquit room. Past year's events have been graced with appearances by singer Ava Bowers, and Lakota Hoop Dancer Kevin Locke.

Events: Bookstore

Each year FMBS also makes available a book store so that attendees can browse and purchase Bahá'í books, literature, and art. Last years Bookstore was provided by Ron Salbego of the St.Louis, Missouri Bahá'í community.
